Can a Christian do Tai-Chi?

What is Tai-Chi? When most people think of Tai Chi they think of a group of old people doing slow meditative movements in a park, it has even earned the nick name 'old people sneaking up on tree'.

The history of Tai Chi  (aka Tai Chi Chuan, aka Taijiquan) is centuries old and has roots in traditions that date back at least 3 millennia. The principles on which the art is founded can be found in some of the earliest Chinese writings. Tai chi, as we know it today, initially gained fame in the 18th and 19th centuries as a powerful internal martial art.  In the 20th century, it also became known as a healing exercise. Is the Bible the Word of God?

Is the Bible the inerrant, infallible Word of God? For years I used to believe that every verse in the Bible was the 'Word of God'. As I studied the Bible and grew spiritually I every once in a while came across 'problems' in the Bible. Things that I found difficult to believe was the will of God. You just need to take a look at the history of Christianity to see how badly that turned out.

Lets take a look at a couple of important points on the Bible:
Jesus did not believe every verse in the Bible is the Word of God (see example in the…

Spiritual But Not Religious

Some will say that being spiritual and being religious is the same thing and that you can't be spiritual without being religious.  Some people will say that the SBNR movement is confused people who are not sure what to believe, so they pick and choose from other religions what they like. Then there are others that will say Christians that say they are spiritual but not religious are just too lazy to go to church.
The truth however is that being spiritual and not religious is something that Jesus taught.  The word 'religion' comes from the Latin word that means 'to bind' or 'to tie'. Religion binds you to a certain traditional way of thinking. Religion with its immovable dogmas tries to put God into a box with a list of 'features' and 'requirements'. They condemn and judge outsiders and enslave their own. Religion is so busy observing man made rules that they miss God. Religion is spirituality that is made useless because of all the added ba…
