Spiritual But Not Religious

Some will say that being spiritual and being religious is the same thing and that you can't be spiritual without being religious.  Some people will say that the SBNR movement is confused people who are not sure what to believe, so they pick and choose from other religions what they like. Then there are others that will say Christians that say they are spiritual but not religious are just too lazy to go to church.
The truth however is that being spiritual and not religious is something that Jesus taught.  The word 'religion' comes from the Latin word that means 'to bind' or 'to tie'. Religion binds you to a certain traditional way of thinking. Religion with its immovable dogmas tries to put God into a box with a list of 'features' and 'requirements'. Jesus and the Law

What did Jesus teach us about the (Old Testament) law? Did Jesus teach us to uphold the law during the Sermon on the Mount and follow all the rules and rituals of the Old Testament?

Many Christians believe that Jesus said we should stay true to the the Old Testament law during the sermon on the mount in Matthew 5. Lets have a look at the verses below:
Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the [a]Law [of Moses] or the [writings of the] Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke [of the pen] will pass from the Law until all things [which it foreshadows] are accomplished. 19 So whoever breaks one of the least [important] of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them, he will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 5:17-19 The key word…
